US Secretary of Defense Mark Asper has been criticized for calling the streets full of protesters a "battleground" for the military and has been accused of failing to keep the military out of politics. Asper distanced himself from Trump's warnings to use troops to quell street protests in the country on Wednesday. The president said he would use all available troops if the state governor failed to stop the violence. However, Esper reversed a Pentagon decision Wednesday that troops on duty from the Washington area would be sent home.
"We need to uphold the rule of law," President Donald Trump said Wednesday. You see, in all of these places, where the problem is, the Republican Party is not in power, the Liberal Democrats are in power.
