Nifty spot jumps 148 points to 13,749: attraction in auto, metal, FMCG stocks




The Sensex jumped again to 47,000 and the Nifty to 13,750 on the back of sustained buying by foreign funds in Healthcare, Consumer Durables, Oil-Gas, Auto, Metal-Mining, and FMCG stocks over the weekend. With stock markets closing on Friday, December 25, in the run-up to Christmas, funds re-strengthened their holdings in futures and options before the end of next week's December trend.
