The long-awaited overbought position in the Indian stock market has led to a record two-day rally, after a pause by experts, as if a new wave of bullishness seems to be about to start again. After the last two days of an indefinite slump in the market, the funds continued to ease the bullish trade with each rise in the stocks. Even today, the funds in the stocks, the experts continued to ease the bullish trade. Banks-Finance stocks today saw profit-booking in automobile, power-capital goods stocks with profit booking. Funds today raised petrol and diesel prices to new highs. International crude oil prices continued to rise amid rising petrol and diesel prices. The rally in oil-gas stocks today and the attraction in metal-mining stocks and FMCG frontline stocks pushed the market into a positive zone. Shares of Reliance Industries were attacked today after the Delhi High Court lifted the status quo order in Reliance Retail and Futures Deals. The Sensex was up 222.13 points at 51531.52 and the Nifty spot was up 66.80 points at 15173.30. The US dollar had gained two paise to Rs 72.85 against the rupee today. International crude oil prices rose to a 13-month high of $ 61 as OPEC countries saw further declines in production by Saudi Arabia and a significant drop in US crude oil stocks.

Trading started softly today. The Sensex opened at 51165.84 against the previous close of 51309.39. Came up to 51157.31. NSE's Nifty spot opened at 15073.25 against the previous close of 15106.50. The softness fell to a low of 15065.40. Returning to Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports, Hindalco, Gail India, UPL, Bajaj Finance, BPCL, Power Grid Corp., Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever, HCL Techno, etc. Closed up 15.173.30, up 66.80 points.


February Nifty futures rise from 15119 to 15195: Bank Nifty futures rise to 36067 and fall to 35845

Small, Mid Cap, Cash Stocks Rise in Attraction of Choice 1682 Shares Positive Close: 309 Stocks Rise Circuit


Market breadth was positive again today as small, mid-cap, cash stocks, funds, players bought again. Out of the total 3126 scrips traded on the BSE, 1682 were up and 1314 were down. The only seller in 205 stocks had a bearish lower circuit against the only buyer’s upper circuit in 309 stocks.


Net purchase of Rs 944 crore in FII / FPI cash: Net sale of Rs 707 crore in DII cash


FIIs-Foreign Institutional Investors-Foreign Portfolio Investors-FPIs made a net purchase of Rs 944.36 crore in cash today-Thursday. A total of Rs 4683.35 crore was sold against a total purchase of Rs 5627.71 crore. DII-domestic institutional investors had a net sale of Rs 707.67 crore in cash today. A total of Rs 4978.79 crore was sold against a total purchase of Rs 4271.11 crore.
