India's Jaipur (Rajasthan), 17 October (ANI): Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated on Tuesday that despite the governments of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka fell, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were unable to topple the government in Rajasthan.
"People value the work that our government does...Amit Shah and PM Modi were unable to bring down the Rajasthani government. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka's non-BJP governments disintegrated, according to CM Gehlot.
He said, "Half of the MLAs would have left if people weren't with us. The BJP would face backlash from the populace.
The Congress-JDS coalition government failed in 2019, and the Madhya Pradesh Congress government did too in 2020. When Shinde and 39 other MLAs overthrew the Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government in June of last year, the outcome was similar.
There will be elections in 200 of the constituencies that make up the Rajasthan Assembly. In the past, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have held political sway in the state.
With 101 members, Congress won the most recent elections in 2018.
The Rajasthan Assembly elections were moved from November 23 to November 25 by the Indian Election Commission on Wednesday.
On December 3rd, the votes will be tallied.
The opposition in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party, has issued its initial list of candidates, fielding up to 7 MPs in the assembly elections, while the party has yet to release its list of candidates. (ANI)
